What’s Included in a Stamped Concrete Project
Design and pattern selection
We go over pattern and color options: stone, brick, slate, and other textures are all available, based on your home’s style and budget.
Standard slab prep
Excavation, base compaction, forming, and reinforcement happen the same way as any concrete pour.
Coloring
Color is added either integrally (mixed into the concrete) or with a color hardener applied at the surface, depending on the look you want.
Stamping
While the concrete is still workable, textured stamps are pressed into the surface to create the pattern.
Sealing
Stamped concrete is sealed after curing to protect the color and texture and make cleaning easier.
Stamped Concrete and Our Wet Climate
Sealer matters more for stamped concrete here than in drier climates. A proper seal keeps moisture from getting into the stamped texture and causing surface damage or discoloration during our long wet season.
